A tour of your workspace

For HR administrators

Take five minutes to learn the workspace before you start operating in it. The geography is consistent across every screen.

The top bar

On every workspace page:

  • The wordmark at the start of the bar — clicking it returns you to the workspace home dashboard.
  • The notification bell — a count badge appears when you have unread notifications. Clicking opens a dropdown with the ten most recent. The full list is at /{slug}/app/notifications.
  • The language toggle — عربي / English. Per-user; takes effect on next login (the JWT is reissued with your new locale).
  • Your account menu — your initials in a circle. Opens to a small menu: profile, settings, sign out.

The sidebar

The left sidebar (right in Arabic) opens with Home (a workspace-wide health snapshot), then groups the primary surfaces into collapsible sections in usage order:

  • Plan — org chart, org structure, new structural-unit requests, workload & demand, the planning platform
  • Develop — people, assessment library and assignment status, and growth (gap analysis, career paths, succession, mobility, growth plans)
  • Hire — pipeline activity, role authoring entry point, interviews, training
  • Structure — the set-up-once scaffolding, kept near the bottom: sub-sectors, job families, job descriptions, positions, then competencies and salary ranges
  • Settings — (HR Admin only) user guide, plus team, taxonomy, and hiring configuration

Line managers see the same sidebar minus Settings, and many of the dashboards are scoped to their team. Employees see a different surface entirely — the individual portal at /{slug}/me — covered in Section VI.

The main canvas

Most pages follow one of three layouts:

  • Dashboard layout — a row of summary cards followed by recent activity. Used on Home, Hire, Develop, Grow.
  • List layout — a header with filters, then a list or table of records, then an action button at the foot. Used on People, Roles, Pipelines.
  • Detail layout — a record header with key actions, then tabbed content underneath. Used on Person profiles, Role detail, Growth plan editor.

What you cannot do from the sidebar

Some surfaces are accessed contextually, not from the nav:

  • A specific hiring pipeline is reached from the Hire dashboard or a role's detail page.
  • A specific growth plan is reached from a person's profile or from the Grow > Plans list.
  • Email template editing is in Settings > Hire > Emails (not directly in the sidebar).
  • Role rubric authoring is on a role's detail page under the Rubric tab.

Command palette

Press ⌘K (macOS) or Ctrl+K (Windows/Linux) anywhere in the workspace to open the global command palette. Start typing to search across your workspace:

  • People — by first/last name, the Saudi four-part name, or email.
  • Positions — open and draft roles by title or description.
  • Roles (job families) — your selected taxonomy job families, by title or description.
  • Competencies — technical and general competencies in your taxonomy, by title or description.

Search works in both Arabic and English — type Arabic and the Arabic titles and descriptions match, type Latin and the English ones match. For workspace content (positions, roles, and competencies) both the title and the description are searched in each language. Below the results, the palette also lists quick jumps to the main pages and common actions. Selecting any result navigates straight to it.

Sending feedback

The speech-bubble icon in the top bar opens a feedback panel from the side of the screen. Use it to report a bug, suggest an idea, or ask a question about whatever page you are looking at.

  • The report is attached to the page you were on, so you do not have to describe where you were.
  • You can pin a location on the page, attach a file, or capture a screenshot of the current screen.
  • The panel also lists your own earlier reports for that page, so you can follow up or delete one.
  • Your name and email are prefilled from your account; both stay editable.

Reports go to the Jadiroon product team, not to your workspace administrators — nothing you send here is visible to your colleagues.

Keyboard

Other keyboard conveniences:

  • / focuses the search input where one is present.
  • Esc closes any open drawer, dropdown, or modal.
