A workspace is Active, Suspended or Deleted. Super admins with Workspaces Act change its status from the Lifecycle panel on the workspace's page in the console.
Suspending
Suspend workspace asks for an optional reason and then stops the workspace at once:
- Staff can no longer sign in, and anyone already signed in is signed out on their next click.
- The candidate and trainer portals stop working.
- Public job and trainer pages show a neutral "unavailable" page, and new applications are refused.
- Invitations to the workspace can no longer be accepted, and CV prefill on its apply pages stops.
- The workspace sends no email.
Nothing is deleted. Super admins who may enter workspaces can still enter a suspended workspace from the console, for example to prepare it before reactivating.
Reactivate returns it to Active; everything works again as before.
Deleting
A workspace can only be deleted from Suspended. Delete… asks you to type the workspace's slug to confirm, and takes an optional note.
Deleting is a soft delete:
- The workspace stays blocked, like a suspended one, and can no longer be entered.
- It disappears from the console's lists. The Deleted filter on the Workspaces page still shows it.
- No data is removed. Restore brings it back to Suspended, and from there it can be reactivated.
Permanent removal of a workspace's data is a separate, deliberate operation run by the platform operator; it is not available from the console.
Limits
- Every status change is written to the console's Activity log with its reason, and appears in the workspace's Audit log under Super admin activity.
