This guide is for candidates — external job seekers who have found a role at an organisation using Jadiroon and want to apply, then follow their application through to an offer. You do not need a Jadiroon account to browse a company's open roles; you create one the moment you decide to apply.
If you want the deeper picture of how candidates fit into the wider data model, see the personas reference and the Person vs user concept page. The short version: as a candidate you are a Person record in the company's talent universe with a lightweight login attached. When you are eventually hired, that same record flips from candidate to employee — nothing is re-entered.
What you can do as a candidate
- Browse a company's public job board and read role details — no login required.
- Create a free candidate account and apply to a role.
- Track every application you have submitted, and see exactly which stage it is at.
- Complete any assessments the hiring team assigns you.
- Pick an interview slot from the times the company offers.
- Keep your profile, CV, and contact details up to date.
Everything you do lives inside one company's workspace. A candidate account belongs to the company whose job board you applied through; it is not a single login that works across every employer on Jadiroon.
The two halves of the journey
The first half is public — anyone can browse and read. The second half is your candidate portal, which opens once you have an account. We will walk through both in order.
Part 1 — Discovering and applying (public)
Browsing open roles
Every workspace has a public job board at:
/{company}/jobs
You reach it from a link the company shares (on their careers page, a job ad, or directly). The board shows the company's name and logo at the top, then a list of every role that is currently open to external applicants. Some roles carry a small tag:
- Saudis preferred — Saudi nationals are prioritised, but others may still apply.
- Saudi-only — the role is restricted to Saudi nationals under Saudization (Nitaqat) rules.
If the company has any roles with those tags, a filter row lets you narrow the list.
Reading a role
Click Apply on any card to open the role detail page:
/{company}/jobs/p/{positionId}
This page gives you the job family, the title, the full job description ("About this role"), and any nationality requirement. On the right is an Apply panel. The note under the button reminds you that you'll create a free account (or log in) to apply and track your progress.
Applying
- Click Apply. The button takes you to the application route:
/{company}/jobs/p/{positionId}/apply - If you are not signed in, you are sent to the candidate sign-up screen first (
/{company}/candidate/signup), with a return link so you come straight back to this application afterwards. - Create your account. Sign-up asks for your name, email, and a password. This is the account you'll use to track everything — keep the email reachable.
- Set your nationality if prompted. Nationality is required on every application. If your profile doesn't have it yet, you'll see a short notice asking you to set it on your profile, then return. (For a Saudi-only role, you must be set to Saudi nationality or the application will be declined at this step.)
- Review and submit. The apply form pre-fills whatever is already on your profile — name, email, phone, LinkedIn, portfolio, and CV. Add or correct anything, attach your CV if you haven't already, and submit.
- You land on a confirmation that your application was received.
Part 2 — Your candidate portal (signed in)
Once you have an account, your home is:
/{company}/candidate
Everything behind this point requires you to be signed in as a candidate. A top bar shows the company name and a Candidate portal label, a theme toggle, your name, and a Log out link. Below it is a row of tabs:
- Dashboard — your overview
- Applications — track what you've submitted
- Assessments — work the company assigns you (carries a count badge when something is unfinished)
- Browse jobs — back to the public board
- Interviews — your scheduled interviews
- Profile — your details and CV
The Applications and Interviews tabs may show a small number badge when there is new activity you haven't looked at yet; opening the tab clears it. The Assessments badge is different — it counts unfinished assessments and only clears when you actually finish them.
Your dashboard
The dashboard greets you by name and gives you three quick cards: Open applications, Upcoming interviews, and a shortcut to Browse jobs. If you have an application with recent movement, its latest status appears below the cards as a single line you can click straight through to.
Tracking your applications
The Applications tab (/{company}/candidate/applications) lists every role you've applied to, with the date and a friendly status badge. Click any row to open the detail page (/{company}/candidate/applications/{id}).
Your status is shown in plain language rather than internal jargon. Behind the scenes an application moves through these stages:
| What you see | Stage |
|---|---|
| Application received | APPLIED |
| Under review | SCREENED |
| Assessments assigned | ASSESSMENT |
| In interview process | INTERVIEWING |
| Offer pending your response | OFFERED |
| Welcome aboard | HIRED |
| Not selected this time | REJECTED |
The detail page adapts to your stage:
- In interview process — it lists your interviews and, if the company is waiting on you, gives you a Pick a slot link.
- Offer pending — if the company attached an offer letter, you get a Download offer (PDF) button.
- Welcome aboard — a message confirms your account is now an employee account, with a link to open the employee portal. (More on that below.)
- Not selected — a courteous note and a link back to browse other roles.
Completing assessments
If your CV passes screening, the hiring team typically assigns you assessments — usually a general one (behaviour, mindset, cognition) and a technical one (role-specific competencies). They appear under the Assessments tab (/{company}/candidate/assessments).
- Open the tab. The badge in the nav tells you how many pieces of work are still outstanding.
- Each assessment shows its status — Not started, In progress, or Completed.
- Click Start assessment (or Continue if you began earlier) to open the runner at
/{company}/candidate/assessments/{id}. - Read the instructions, then work through it. You can save your progress and come back later — you don't have to finish in one sitting.
- Some companies group several assessments into one long run, shown as "Chapter X of N." When you finish one chapter, you're taken straight to the next unfinished one. Other companies treat each as a standalone step that returns you to the list.
When everything is submitted, the page confirms the hiring team is reviewing your results. If your account isn't yet linked to a profile, the tab will ask you to finish your profile first.
Picking an interview slot
When you reach the interview stage, the company offers you a set of times to choose from. You'll find them under the Interviews tab (/{company}/candidate/interviews), split into Upcoming and Past.
Each interview shows a one-line status:
- Awaiting your slot selection — the company is waiting on you; a Pick a slot button appears.
- Confirmed: [date and time] — your chosen time is locked in.
- Completed or Cancelled — self-explanatory.
To book a time:
- Click Pick a slot (from the Interviews tab or from an application's detail page).
- You're taken to the slot picker. Choose one of the offered times and confirm.
- The status flips to Confirmed with your time.
There's also a way to book without logging in. Companies sometimes email a direct interview link of the form:
/{company}/interviews/{token}
This opens a standalone booking page — just the company header and the slot picker. Pick your time and you're done; no sign-in needed. It's the same booking, reachable two ways.
Your profile and CV
The Profile tab (/{company}/candidate/profile) holds the details employers see with each application. From here you can:
- Edit your details — first and last name, phone, nationality (required before you can apply), LinkedIn URL, and portfolio URL. Save to apply.
- Upload or replace your CV — the file is attached to future applications automatically.
- Change your password.
- Delete your account — a permanent action that removes your candidate login from this company.
When you're hired: candidate becomes employee
If a company hires you, your application reaches the Welcome aboard stage, and the application detail page tells you your account is now an employee account. The same Person record that held your CV, screening results, and assessment history simply changes status — none of it is re-entered. Log out and back in, and instead of the candidate portal you'll land in the employee portal at /{company}/me.
This is the heart of why Jadiroon separates a Person from a User: your history follows you from candidate to employee. The Person vs user page explains the mechanics, and Start here as an employee picks up your journey on the other side.
What you can't do (and who to ask)
- You can't see other candidates, the company's internal roster, or anyone's data but your own. The portal is strictly scoped to you.
- You can't change your application's stage. Only the hiring team moves you through screening, assessment, interviewing, and offer. Your job is to complete what's assigned and pick your slots.
- You can't apply with an internal (employee or manager) account. The public apply form is for external candidates only; an internal account is redirected away from it.
- You can't reach any administrative or workspace settings — those belong to HR administrators and line managers.
If something looks wrong — a stuck status, an assessment that won't open, or an interview link that's expired — contact the company's hiring team directly. Jadiroon doesn't decide your outcome; the employer does.
