An employee's first session on Jadiroon is short and deliberately uncluttered. There is no onboarding wizard, no feature tour, no progress meter to fill. The platform shows you what is asked of you and lets you start.
The invite-acceptance screen
Before you land on the portal, you see the activation screen at /invite/[token]. The platform asks for your password and your 4-part Saudi name in four separate fields:
- First name (required)
- Father's name (optional)
- Grandfather's name (optional)
- Family name (required)
All four are stored on your Person record alongside the legacy firstName and lastName columns for backwards compatibility. The platform uses the four parts later to render your name in formal Saudi style ("سعد بن عبدالله بن محمد الزهراني" — or in English "Saad Al-Zahrani") on signed reports and headers. If you only fill the first and family fields, the system gracefully shows the shorter form. The display logic and displayName() helper are documented in Saudi fields.
What you land on
After accepting your invitation and setting your password, you arrive at /{slug}/me — the employee portal. This is your home in Jadiroon. It is different from what HR administrators see, and you will spend nearly all of your time here.
The page is organised in cards:
- What's pending — assessments assigned to you, with deadlines if any. Up to three are shown; See all opens the full list.
- Your target role — if your growth plan has a target role set, the match score is shown here. If no target is set yet, the card invites you to read your plan.
- Top learning recommendation — one course or programme matched to your largest competency gap.
- Recent activity — the latest plan edits, assessment completions, and report releases concerning you.
The notification bell
A welcome notification has already been added to the bell at the top of the page. Open the bell to see it. Notifications you can expect over the next days:
- Assessment assigned — when HR or your line manager assigns you a new assessment.
- Report ready — when an assessment you completed has its narrative generated.
- Plan edited — when HR or your line manager makes a change to your growth plan.
The bell shows up to ten recent notifications. The full archive is at /{slug}/me/notifications.
The seven tabs
The top of the portal has seven tabs in reading order:
- Overview — the dashboard you arrived on.
- Assessments — every assessment assigned to you, by status.
- Career — the top three roles you could move toward.
- Competencies — your competency profile, with target markers and the evidence behind each competency.
- Plan — your growth plan, co-editable with HR and your manager.
- Learning — recommended courses and programmes for you.
- Me — your profile (name, phone, avatar, language, password).
On a phone, the tabs collapse into a hamburger menu in the top bar.
What you should do in your first session
Two things, in this order:
- Open the Plan tab and read your growth plan. It may already have milestones drafted by HR; if so, look them over. You can edit anything you disagree with.
- Take any pending assessment — most are between ten and thirty minutes. You do not have to do them all in one sitting.
Everything else can wait.
