Opening jobs: putting a position up for hiring. An opening is one hiring round on a position (a seat), with its own pipeline of applications.
Resources
| Resource | API | Pages |
|---|---|---|
| Openings | read, open (create), close | Openings |
| Positions | the seat the opening is on; its hiring fields follow the opening | Positions |
Typical flow
- Open a position for hiring:
POST /api/v1/openingswith{ "position": { "externalSystem": "oracle-hcm", "externalId": "POS-2207" }, "hiringPathway": "INTERNAL_FIRST" }. - Jadiroon publishes it on the careers page per its pathway (internal first, then external, or external at once).
- Close it with
POST /api/v1/openings/{id}/closewhen the seat is filled or cancelled. - Subscribe to
opening.*(andposition.updated, which also fires when hiring opens or closes).
Rules worth knowing
- Opening and closing need
recruitment.hiring.open, as in the app. - A position with an
OPENopening can't get a second one (409 conflict,already_open). - An archived position can't be opened (
409 conflict,position_archived). - Archiving a position closes its hiring and its open openings.
