Bilingual: Arabic and English

For everyone

Jadiroon is built for the Saudi and GCC market. Arabic is treated as a peer language, not a translation. The interface, the documentation, the email templates, the assessment items, the report narratives — all are designed to work in either language.

How language is set

The language toggle is in the top navigation bar (عربي ↔ English). The choice is per-user, stored on your profile, and applied on your next login. A workspace also has a default locale used for new invitations and email templates; an HR administrator sets that in the workspace settings.

The HTML direction follows the language. Arabic pages render right-to-left; the sidebar moves to the right edge, the right rail to the left. Logical CSS (start / end) means buttons, icons, and arrows mirror correctly without being mirrored as images.

What is bilingual today

  • Marketing pages, including the trust centre and blog.
  • The full administrator workspace: navigation, dashboards, role and assessment authoring, hiring pipeline, growth plans, settings.
  • The employee portal at /me.
  • The assessment runners. Behavioural items, cognitive items, simulations — all authored bilingually.
  • Hiring email templates — every stage email exists in both Arabic and English; the candidate's preferred language drives which is sent.
  • The competency taxonomy and custom competencies (every competency carries an Arabic and an English name).

What is partially bilingual

  • This documentation. English is the source of truth in the current release. Arabic translations are being added page by page; until a page is translated, the Arabic route serves the English version inside the Arabic interface chrome.
  • Assessment narrative reports. The narrative generation runs in the user's locale. Older reports, generated before the bilingual narrative pass, may show the language they were originally written in.

What is not localised

A small set of items remains in English regardless of locale: technology names (Microsoft, Google), code identifiers in any developer-facing surface, and the wordmark "Jadiroon" itself.

Numerals

Numerals follow international convention by default — Western Arabic digits (1, 2, 3) in dashboards, KPI cards, and form fields. Eastern Arabic digits (١, ٢, ٣) are used in formal copy and dates where they read more naturally to a Saudi reader.
