What your employee sees when taking an assessment

For employees

When an assessment is assigned to you, this is what happens next. The pages that follow walk through the runner for each of the five assessment types. This page is the orientation that applies to all of them.

How you find out

A notification lands in your bell at the top of /me. The text is You have a new assessment assigned. Clicking it takes you to your assessments list at /me/assessments, where the new assignment is at the top, marked ASSIGNED.

The new assignment also shows up on your /me dashboard's What's pending card.

Where your interviews live

A structured interview doesn't run inside the page like the other four types — it's scheduled as a meeting, so it has its own home: the Interviews tab at /me/interviews.

When HR assigns you a structured interview it appears there under Upcoming, marked OFFERED, with a Pick a slot button. Choose one of the offered times and the interview moves to CONFIRMED; an Add to calendar link — and, for online interviews, a Join button — appear on the same card. Completed and cancelled interviews drop to the Past section.

The Interviews and Assessments tabs each carry a small count badge in the navigation whenever something needs your action — an interview awaiting your slot selection, or an assessment still ASSIGNED or IN_PROGRESS. When the badge disappears, you're caught up.

What you should know before you start

Three things:

  • It is not a test you can fail. Assessments produce signal that contributes to your competency profile and your growth plan. The data informs decisions; it is not a decision in itself. There is no pass/fail.
  • You can stop and come back. Most assessments save your progress. The exception is the cognitive assessment, which is timed — once started, you have to finish in the time allotted.
  • Honesty produces better signal than performance. The platform's scoring assumes you are answering truthfully. Trying to game the assessment makes the data noisier without making your profile look better in the long run.

What the runner looks like, in general

Every runner is bilingual — Arabic if your workspace locale is Arabic, English otherwise. The runner takes over the page. The top bar shows your progress (item N of N). The bottom shows a Save and continue button between items, and a Submit button at the end.

There is no live chat with HR or your manager during the runner. The assessment is between you and the questions.

Time expectations

  • Behavioural — 15–20 minutes.
  • Cognitive — exactly 25 minutes (or as configured on the template), strictly time-boxed.
  • Technical — about 5 minutes per competency, plus the manager's time afterwards.
  • Structured interview — 30–60 minutes, scheduled like a meeting.
  • Simulation — 15–25 minutes.

You can take a short break in the middle of any non-cognitive runner; the platform saves your progress.

What happens after you submit

  • The status flips from IN_PROGRESS to COMPLETED immediately.
  • The score is computed deterministically; you can usually see it within seconds.
  • The narrative is generated in the background, typically within a minute. A REPORT_READY notification lands in your bell when it is ready to read.
  • The result contributes to your competency profile, with weight depending on the assessment's fidelity.

Who sees the result

  • You — yes, immediately. From your assessments list or your competencies tab.
  • Your line manager — yes, after the result is generated.
  • HR administrators — yes, after the result is generated.
  • Your peers — no, never.

Reports are confidential within the workspace's HR-and-management chain. They are not exported anywhere outside.
