Your profile is where you control the personal-side settings: your displayed name, your contact details, your photo, your interface language, and your password.
Where to find it
/{slug}/me/profile. Available from the navigation tabs and from the account menu in the top bar.
HR Administrators have an equivalent profile page at /{slug}/app/profile — accessible by clicking their name in the top-right of the admin workspace. It supports the same editable fields: name, phone, locale, password, and avatar.
What you can edit
- Full name — what your colleagues see in lists, on assignments, and in notifications.
- Phone number — optional; used for any in-product contact actions but not exposed publicly.
- Avatar — a small square image. JPEG, PNG, or WebP, up to 2MB. The platform stores the image as-is and displays it at a fixed 96px in most surfaces.
- Interface language — Arabic or English. Takes effect on your next login (the JWT is reissued with your new locale).
- Password — change your password. Requires your current password plus the new password (8+ characters).
What you cannot edit
- Your email address. This is your login identifier in v0.5. Changing it requires HR to perform a user-record migration. Write to your HR administrator if your email needs to change (legal name change, employer email rotation, etc.).
- Your role on the workspace. HR or workspace admins can change your role; you cannot self-promote.
- Your line manager. Set by HR.
- Your team membership. Set by HR or your line manager.
- Your competency profile. Built from measurements; not editable from the profile page.
Avatar guidance
The avatar appears next to your name in:
- The account menu in the top bar.
- The notifications bell (when something is from you).
- The People roster (if a manager or HR is looking at you).
- The growth plan activity log entries you wrote.
A clear face photo is most useful. Logos or anonymous icons are fine if you prefer; the platform does not enforce a face. Group photos are not recommended — they get cropped tightly to fit the 96px display.
Changing your language
The toggle is in the profile page and also in the top navigation bar. Both update the same setting.
The change applies on your next login. If you change the language and then sign out and back in, the new language is in effect. The JWT lag (the platform issues a new session token on login that carries your locale) is the reason for the next-login delay.
If you want the change to take effect immediately, sign out and sign back in.
Changing your password
Three fields:
- Current password — what you have now.
- New password — what you want it to be (8+ characters).
- Confirm new password — same as the above.
Submit. You stay logged in on this device; other devices where you were logged in are signed out automatically.
Forgot password (recovery)
If you have lost your password and cannot sign in, the recovery flow is on the login page itself: Forgot your password? — covered on the next page in this section.

The forgot-password recovery flow is the final page in this section.
